CSRSS.EXE – Whats Is It Mean ?

So what it doing in your system ?The name itself tell us what actually it is; CSRSS stands for Client Server Run-Time Subsystem and it is one of the essential part of the windows operating system.

CSRSS.EXE is responsible for all windows console operations such as creating and/or deleting threads, and implementing some portions of the 16-bit virtual MS-DOS environment.Normally you can find it in the C:\Windows\System32 folder.

CSRSS.EXE was there with all the windows builds including windows xp,windows 7,windows 8 and the latest windows 8.1 beta too.But be cautions some times this file also become corrupted by a virus, worm, or Trojan,same as any file on your computer but never try to remove it from the running process or manually delete it as it may cause some serious kernal issues in windows operating system.
