How to Automatically Log in to Windows 8

Automatic log on for windows will help you log to bypasses the Windows logon screen completely to load the operating system directly. Automatic log on normally helps if the computer is used only one person. Windows 8 is very much similar to windows 7 in this case.

Step 1 : Start Windows 8 and log in to your account.

Step 2 : Now You are taken to the Metro UI start screen. Enter netplwiz there and hit enter to open User Accounts screen.

Alternatively you can  Press  ” WIN + R ” on keyboard and it opens the” Run box ,now  Enter netplwiz  command and  it  will open the User Accounts screen on the Desktop same as below.

Step 3: uncheck “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” box and Click the Ok button

Step 4: Now you will get a prompt where you need to enter the password for the username. Enter your password and the password confirmation in the prompt

Windows will save this password for you and now you no need to enter it anymore during log on. If you bypass Metro UI automatically, you can open the User Accounts configuration screen with the shortcut Win-R and entering netplwiz in the run box. If your computer is in a multi user environment please don’t enable the automatic login because it will create security issue on your system.
