“Facebook Price Grid ? $9.99 Gold Membership” is a New Facebook Scam
Facebook security firm Sophos warned all Facebook users that a new scam is spreading on Facebook, claiming that the social networking giant may charge a $9.99 “gold membership” unless users forward a message before midnight.
“Facebook price grid? $9.99 Gold Membership” scam is spreading on a very fast phase on Facebook and Sophos informed that the message claims that Facebook is planning to start charging users for using their services and Facebook just released a “price grid” for membership, including $9.99 a month for Gold Member services, $6.99 for Silver Member services, and $3.99 for Bronze Member services. The scam message also claimed Facebook will continue to be free “IF YOU COPY AND PASTE THIS MESSAGE BEFORE MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.” Look at the sample scam message that is spreading on Facebook.
Facebook users sharing this scam to their friends, only because they want to help their friends to avoid charges of between $3.99 and $9.99 per month. If you found this type of message on your wall please delete it permanently and inform your friends too.
