You can enable or disable all components with in MGSE to feel a pure Gnome 3 experience. Linux Mint 12 Lisa also coming with number of software improvements and new artwork.

Another addition to Linux Mint 12 Lisa include MATE, It is a fork of Gnome 2 which is compatible with Gnome 3. With this version of Linux Mint you can run both versions of Gnome on the same system. MATE on Linux Mint is still in beta stage but it will be the future of traditional desktops within Linux.

The advantage of Linux mint is that it is built on Debian and Ubuntu that means you will able to run almost anything designed for these platforms. Linux Mint 12 Lisa operating system also includes several new themes and desktop backgrounds and the default search engine added is DuckDuckGo, if any user wants to change it you can do it easily.
