Dish network Testing TV channels on i-pad, i phone, iPod touch and Blackberry
|Dish network one of the leading satellite service provider in the US .Now Dish network subscribers can watch satellite TV programs on mobile devices for free. Dish network planning to launch this new service on this September onwards.
Presently testing is in progress for this application on apple devices .This September Apple i-pad, i-phone, iPod touch and BlackBerry will get the new application from Dish network for watching satellite TV programs. Android users have to wait two more months to get the new application for watching satellite TV channels.
Dish network subscribers need a dual tuner DVR at home with streaming ability other wise you will not get the ability to change the channels that tuned in the receiver. Dish network offering subscribers a chance to upgrade their hardware with fixed fee.
Will this work through the internet, or will there be an adaptor to receive Dish Network's satellite signal?
Hi Nate ,Thanks for your comment .You need a dual tuner receiver with streaming ability to view the chanels.
Hey there! I work and subscribe with DISH Network and just wanted to add that everything is up and running to all Android, iPhones, iPads, and even Blackberries! It’s a wonderful technology that I’ve been using and definitely recommend! You need either a Vip922 Slingloaded DVR or a Vip722/722k with a Sling Adapter. The Sling Adapter goes for $99 if you order through DISH. With that you can watch endless amounts of recorded or live TV through any of those mobile devices! It’s pretty awesome! 🙂
