How To Change Computer Name In Ubuntu 12.10

When I first installed Ubuntu Linux, I don’t know the importance of device name or computer name, later after familiarized with Linux I found some difficulties in the default bar-code like computer name. Yea, I agree it’s my own fault because that time I don’t aware that Ubuntu lets you set a custom computer name during the setup process. Unfortunately I went through the default process and it created a device name according to my computer hardware and it looks like a bar-code now.

Step 1 : Press Alt+ F2 on your keyboard

It will open the dashboard where you can enter the RUN command
