All Twitter Users Will Soon Experience “HTTPS Always” By Default

Security is a big concern over the internet.Recent reports showed that lot’s of twitter accounts being hacked even  twitter enabled “HTTPS Always” option in mid of March 2011 to all user accounts. At that time, users who want to use “HTTPS Always” feature on their twitter account need to do some changes on their account settings. You can read the manual method to switch on HTTPS always option on twitter from here.But do you know what happened ? Most of the twitter users not enabled the HTTPS option,this made twitter to think and they switched “HTTPS Always” on  by default for all users for improving the security.

Twitter recently announced that they are planning to enable “HTTPS Always” option for all users by default. Means they want to encourage users to use https URLs for that they are permanently redirecting all user accounts to the SSL version.

Twitter presently testing this feature on small number of people.Some of my friends reporting that their Twitter user accounts already got “HTTPS Always” option switched on by default for them.Unfortunaltey for me it’s not switched on.Check out your twitter account today and let me know, “HTTPS Always” option enabled for you or not ?
