Step 1 : Go to windows explorer and look for the “etc” folder. Normally you will find it in C:/ if your windows installation is on C drive. The exact path will be C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc

Step 2: Here you will find the “hosts” file.

Step 3 : Right-click the “hosts” file, and choose “Open”with Notepad

Step 4: Now add the numbers “127.0.0.1”, followed by at least one space, followed by the URL of the website that you are looking to block. For example, if you wanted to block “www.facebook.com” you would enter “127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com”. Keep in your mind “http://” is not required in front of the website address.
