How to Enable or Disable Hibernate Option in Windows 8
|As you know, Microsoft recently pushed out the upcoming windows operating system developer preview code named windows 8 . Windows 8 will be the fastest Microsoft operating system ever build compared to the older versions of windows. In our previous posts we are promised you to bring you the latest windows 8 tips and tricks.
Today we are going to show you how to enable or disable Hibernation in windows 8 Operating system. If you are not familiar with windows hibernation let me give you a short summary.
Hibernation is a feature of an operating system which allows the contents of RAM to be written to the hard disk, before powering off the computer. When the computer is started again, it reloads the content of memory and attempts to restore to the same state as it was before shutdown.
To enable or disable Hibernation option in windows 7 please follow below steps.
Step 1: Go to control panel by clicking the start menu on windows 8 or by clicking the Win key on your Windows 8 operating system.
Step 2: Now go to More Settings, Here you can switch to the classic Control panel Category view and then select Power Options.
Step 3 : Click on “Choose what the Power buttons do” option. Now you will get a window same as below.
Step 4: Now select the option that says “Change settings that are currently unavailable”
You are done! Now you will get the option to enable Hibernation on windows 8. Select Show Hibernate option to enable and unselect this tick mark to disable Hibernation on windows 8 and click Save Changes.
Now you will be able to enable or disable hibernate option on your windows 8 computer from Power options.
