How to Go Permanently Offline in Updated Facebook Chat ?
I think you guyz may be already gone through my post on How to go permanently offline in Facebook chat. I published this post on the very first day of January 2011.But recently most of my reader’s informed me that this option is not working on the new Improved Facebook chat. Today I will show you how to fix it on new improved Facebook chat.
Step 1: Log in to Facebook account.
Step 2: Go to the settings icon on the bottom right corner of your Improved Facebook chat window.
Step 3: Untick the “available to chat” option.
That’s it! Now you are permanently offline to Facebook chat until you wish to become online.If you want to become online you can do it by clicking on “avilable” link.
Let me know if you have any difficulties in becoming offline in facebook chat.

old facebook chat is better than the new one
Sadly, the chat function does not stay turned off permanently, even doing these steps. I’ve had this issue for a long time now and it’s pretty frustrating. I’ve been reading that folks who have the fb droid app installed are having the same problem and I do have a droid. I really the ease of uploading pics directly to fb from my phone, however, so uninstalling the fb droid app really isn’t my best option.
Any new advice out there?

Still some issue with Facebook Mobile Applications but it working perfectly on facebook website. also I confirmed that it is not working on android devices.
