How To Stop The Automatic Update In Windows Vista and Windows 7 ?

I strongly recommend for automatic updating of Microsoft windows operating system because these updates are pushed out by Microsoft to fix the vulnerability and other major problems and security issues on your windows computer.

Microsoft already come up with the latest automatic update feature in Windows XP Service Pack 2 and later, Windows Vista, and with Windows 7.In order to turn off the automatic update feature you need to follow below procedure.

Step 1 : Go to windows Control Panel and click on  “windows update”.

Step 2 : New windows will open up with available updates for your computer.

Step 3 : Now click on change settings tab.

Step 4 : Now you will get 4 default options. If you selected the last one “never check for updates” from that moment onwards windows will never check for any update for your computer. Not recommended if you are a normal computer user.

 

I normally select “check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them” option.Choice is yours ! select the best option as per your requirement.
