HP Linux Imaging and Printing Version 3.13.8 Got Support For More Printers
|HP Linux Imaging and Printing project is sponsored by HP to make its printers compatible and useful with Linux systems,This will install the drivers required for Print, Scan and Fax from Linux based machines. The latest version 3.13.8 of HP Linux Imaging and Printing comes with more printer support.
This new HP Linux imaging and printing version got support for HP Deskjet 1510,HP Deskjet 1512,HP Deskjet 1513,HP Deskjet 2540 ,HP Deskjet 2542 all in one printers and HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1010,1015,1516,3540 printers.
The additional change log in HP Linux Imaging and Printing Version 3.13.8 include the added support for Avahi network printer browsing and using SLP protocol by default to browse printer in hp-setup and fix for failing to install libtool package in Fedora 18 during HPLIP installation.
Additionally this version also adds support for Debian 7.1,Fedora 19 and the latest version of Ubuntu OS.
To download and install the latest driver in Ubuntu please open the terminal window and type the following comment.
wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/hplip/hplip-3.13.8.run
Now run the below command to install the HP Linux imaging and printing version 3.13.8
sh hplip-3.13.8.run
