India’s leading Telecom Service Provider, BSNL Website Got Hacked
BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is one of the leading telecom service provider in india with more than 90 million subscribers. Today BSNL website got hacked by a self-proclaimed Pakistani hacker “KhantastiC haX0r”.
The hackers, who calls himself “KhantastiC haX0r” is able to deface the public BSNL webpage, He placed some additional files to the public directory of BSNL server successfully and deleted all the intrusion log files. I don’t know how he got the write access for the server sub directory! The defaced site is available at http://www.bsnl.co.in/tender1/ . The official BSNL home page and other sub pages except the compromised directory opening as normal.
It is still not clear, whether the hacker “KhantastiC haX0r” is able to access any user personal information. BSNL officials still not responded to this website hack. According to the reports the “KhantastiC haX0r” have close association with Pakistan Cyber Army; the team behind cyber attacks on Indian websites.
While composing this post I again cross checked the BSNL website and now it looks like BSNL Technical team is working on the website, the entire server went down now. Any how, BSNL need to invest more on their server security.
