New Upgraded Android application from Facebook

In this new version you will get an updated homepage with multitasking ability including status updates, photos and videos, notifications etc. At first look this new version android application looks like face book for I phone application.

Face book using H.264 Baseline profile for encoding videos on their new android application. One interesting thing I found useful is responding to friend’s requests with out leaving the application.

The current application for android got nearly 5.5 million monthly active users. Once the chat facility comes on Face book Android application the user base will grow immediately. I think they have to work on the chat facility in facebook for android platform as soon as possible.

The photo stream at the bottom of the facebook application is one of the new addition like events button.This stream shows your friends recent uploads.The  simple slid tab help you to scroll more and view higher image size.

Still it’s a 50-50 application from facebook, need to work on more areas to keep the momentum going.
