Super Mario Plus: Awesome Offline and Online Games on Chrome Extension
|Almost every one of us has spent a large chunk of our childhood years playing Mario games. No matter how refined gaming visuals and strategies have gotten these days, there is something so appealing about a simple platform game in which all your character has to do is jump, run, kill silly looking adversaries, and collect coins. In this article on what makes a video game successful, we saw that it is in fact the simple strategy games that win us over.
So if you, like me, are one of those people who think about Super Mario nostalgically, I have some good news for you. If you have Google Chrome installed, you can play Super Mario online or offline, as your preference goes, on Chrome Extension. And if you do not have Chrome (shame on you! Still using Internet Explorer is almost a crime these days!), please do not hesitate to download it here. As a habitual Chrome user, I can assure you that Google Chrome is a better, faster, and more extensive browser than IE or whatever it is you are reading this on.
If you enjoy online gaming, then the Google Chrome Super Mario World HD (Flash edition) will delight you. Veteran players will find the format new and refreshingly challenging. This is a flash based game, which should make the experience all the more interesting and different. The music is slightly different, but I know you won’t let that bother you in your excitement of playing online Super Mario. Let me add a word of caution though, when you install this extension, the app will ask you for loads of permisiions. Be careful what you agree to, because you might accidentally give this app access to every page you visit and all of your browsing history. Scary thought, right? Yeah, so as I said, don’t just click yes without reading what you are agreeing to.
If flash is just not your thing, and you prefer to play games offline rather than through your internet connection, why don’t you give Google Chrome Infinite Super Mario a try? This HTML5 based game is offline, you just have to download it and install it in your chrome browser, and you can play even when you are not connected to the net. This makes it a great option for those who enjoy playing video games on their laptops while in flight, or while they are in a low wi-fi area.
What I enjoyed most about this game is that the levels are randomized and there appears to be an unlimited supply of worlds and levels(hence the name). So each time you die in a level, you really have no idea which level you will have to start with in the next game. This makes the game unpredictable, and avoids the inevitable boredom that strikes experienced players once they have played a game enough to have memorized what level comes next. Whether you are comfortable in playing with your mouse or your keyboard arrow keys, you will fit right in, because this game offers both options, and both are easy and smooth to play.
So if you are a Mario junkie, be sure to check out these two games at the Chrome Extension Shop. We promise you, you will not regret it.
